Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou has hailed his side’s performance after their thrashing of Southampton.
Tottenham Hotspur thrash Southampton 5-0 in the Premier League on Sunday night. Spurs now have 23 points from 16 games.
“The players did an incredible job, we had a tough away game in Europe on Thursday, tonight 10 of our first-team players were not available but they came on with full energy,” Postecoglou told TNT Sports.
“We’ve to play fast because we know that as time goes by the body gets tire. We ask a lot from the players and the quality and energy they show is outstanding.
“We had good chances (to score early on in the game) before, if we take them then we put pressure on the opposition. I told the boys before the game to be ready to play, start quickly, good pass from Ched (Spence) and finish from (James) Maddison.
“It (the win) helps a lot, you just want the players to feel good and get reward for their work. We can’t rest or rotate players, they get ทางเข้า ufabet their reward. Now we will recover and be ready for the important day on Thursday (at Manchester United in the Carabao Cup).”
