Can I have more than one shop on Etsy?
Yes, you may have multiple shops on Etsy. There are just a few guidelines you must follow:
The shops cannot sell the same or nearly the same items.Updated in 2018: While duplicate shops are still prohibited, Etsy now allows you to list an item in more than one shop as long as:
a. You have the quantity to fulfill orders from multiple listings. (Unique, one-of-a-kind items still cannot be listed in multiple shops.)
b. Most or all of the other listings in each of your shops differ from each other.
However, if you list an item in more than one shop, those listings themselves cannot be duplicates. According to Etsy, A duplicate listing occurs when an item is listed in more than one unique listing number, with all or nearly all of the key parts of presentation and marketing – such as title, tags, photo, description – identical or nearly identical to another listing.
Also, other parts of the shops are not to be duplicated, including about section, cover image/banner, shop icon, avatar, announcement, etc.
- You must create a new username and use a different email address than your existing shop. However, you can connect the same credit card and bank account.
- You are required to disclose all of your usernames/shops in the profile of each account. So, for example, if you have two shops plus a buyer account, Profile A should disclose Username B and Username C, Profile B should disclose Username A and Username C, etc.
Another thing to keep in mind is that any consequences you face for breaking the rules in one shop will affect the other as well. So if Etsy shuts down one shop for violations, both are gone.
