I always include something extra for the buyer. Am I doing right, or is this bribing?
I think tucking in a little something is such a sweet gesture and fun surprise. My zipper vendor always includes a cute zipper pull with my order. As long as you don’t have a tag attached that says, “Hey, how about leaving me a 5-star review!” then no worries about it being mistaken for extortion. 😉
If you can come up with a small gift that ties in with your shop and doesn’t involve a big investment of time or money, I think it’s a great way to express your appreciation.
Do you include a little gift for customers?
See you tomorrow for Day 16 of 31 Days of Etsy Seller Q & A.
I have started giving a coupon to my customers for a future purchase and giving them a good amount of time to use it. In your opinion, is that a good thing to do? Or should it be something else. My products are all downloadable, I don’t ship anything physical.
It’s definitely more limiting when you don’t sell a physical product. I think a coupon for returning customers is great, and it’s thoughtful that you give them lots of time to use it. Since you have a blog, you might also consider creating a digital download as an opt-in freebie for your newsletter. Then you could tell customers about it and it would be one more “gift” available to them.
