The Facebook Call-to-Action button for pages provides a great opportunity to get your product, newsletter, service, etc. in front of people with an easy way to click through. If you haven’t yet set it up on your page, these screenshots will walk you through the process.
Before setting it up, the button will say Create Call-to-Action. Click on it.
On the next screen, you will first choose from seven different calls to action.
Then you will type in the website where you want to button to lead. (The mobile website field is really only applicable if your site is not mobile responsive and you have a separate URL for the mobile version.)
After this, you will choose where to send iOS (and then Android) users when they click your button on a mobile device. Usually this will be the same website you entered on the previous screen, but if you have an app associated with your site, you may want to send them there instead.
Once you’ve finished the steps, your button will change to the Facebook Call-to-Action that you chose.
On the right, you will be able to view the number of times someone has clicked on your Call-to-Action (CTA) that week. (It will be zero at first, of course.)
Don’t hesitate to change it up from time to time to correspond with something else you want to promote, even if it’s only temporary. It’s very easy to edit by clicking the dropdown arrow on your button. You can also view Insights or promote your CTA from there.
It only takes a few minutes to set up your Facebook Call-to-Action, so hop on there and do it! If you have any questions or thoughts about this topic, please be sure to share in the comments.
